Hello! I offer individual therapy for people aged 10+ as well as therapy for couples. My style is collaborative, integrative, warm, and client-centered. I work from a trauma-informed perspective, weaving together concepts from evidence-based practices such as CBT and DBT with attachment theory and a smattering of various other theoretical models. I utilize the Gottman method and family systems theory in my work with couples. Additionally, I offer expressive arts therapy (movement, art, music) and am a registered dance/movement therapist.
My areas of specialty include treating trauma, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorders, relational challenges, and issues unique to women and the LGBTQ community. I provide therapy to many queer couples and am poly/kink friendly. In working with me you’ll be welcomed into a safe, judgment-free space through which we’ll work together to help you increase your capacity for joy, strength, and resilience. You can expect lightness and laughter in our sessions in addition to “the work” involved in the therapeutic process. The lens I work through takes into account the sociocultural influences on emotional and physical well-being; I strive to be an actively anti-racist advocate for the BIPOC community and am LGBTQIA+ affirming.
I am trained in EMDR, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and level one of the Gottman method.
I identify as a queer feminist enneagram 7 and am inherently expressive. I’m originally from the Midwest, and love the creative arts and animals – particularly my dog who is easily mistaken for a raccoon (I believe she is also an enneagram 7). I received my masters in expressive arts therapy and clinical mental health counseling from Lesley University and my bachelors in psychology from Kalamazoo College.
