Hey there! I’m Natalie and I am grateful you’ve landed on my page. I believe we are all unique individuals, and I also believe that there is healing in recognizing our shared humanity. We all suffer in various ways, and finding that common humanity with others makes it seem less lonely. Like most people, I have experienced challenges, self-defeating thoughts, and emotional wounds in my life, and I’ve had to ask for help. Through my personal journey, I have seen the tremendous benefit of Psychotherapy, Eastern Medicine, and Western Medicine. In fact, I still engage in my own therapy to this day. My hope is that everyone can achieve these benefits and find more passion and purpose in life.

My clients are often in high-stress, professional jobs, struggling to connect to their partner, or are looking for a possible career change. They tend to be overachievers, work too much, struggle with perfectionism and find it hard to verbalize their feelings. They feel they have things to be grateful for, yet they don’t feel fulfilled. Frequently, they lack self-care routines, which often is the result of people-pleasing and being unaware of their self-worth. People comment on how “put together” they appear, but deep inside, they want to crawl out of their skin. They feel alone while being surrounded by people. It feels unsafe to show their genuine emotions; therefore, they keep it all to themselves. After all, they know that people “expect” them to show up in a certain way. They are accustomed to figuring things out on their own, but the weight feels heavy. It’s scary to think others might see their imperfections.

I am known for being relatable to my clients and taking a positive, non-judgmental approach. We all need someone to talk to who will listen and accept us without judgment. Others who know me or have worked with me will tell you I am honest, compassionate, and direct. I’m not going to smile and nod throughout the session. I’m going to ask you tough questions and help you understand why you feel the way you do and where it comes from. Disclaimer: I swear in session and enjoy using humor whenever possible. I genuinely feel that when it’s appropriate, laughter deeply heals the soul. Additionally, I believe there is significant value in a strong therapeutic relationship. I will do my best to help you gather the tools you need to be successful long after our time together.

My goal is to assist my clients in discovering techniques to transform their lives in a way that allows them to look forward to the future with hope. I help them engage and communicate more effectively in relationships, stop continued patterns that don’t serve them, defeat that damn ‘Imposter Syndrome’, find and reclaim their voice, discover confidence within themselves, decrease the need for external validation, and feel empowered and trust their decisions.

It can be challenging to take the time to care for yourself and get to know your own needs. It’s hard to let others help you, let alone reach out for help. You’ve probably found yourself time and time again needing relief, and perhaps now is the time to invest in yourself and your happiness. I would be honored to help support you in this process.

I am actively anti-racist and an advocate for social justice. I am comfortable supporting folks of any race, gender, and sexual orientation, and I am open to having those tough conversations.

I received my Master’s Degree in Professional Mental Health Counseling, and I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Supervisor (S9019), Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist (3465), and Certified Clinical Supervisor (20291). My experience in the counseling field ranges from working with adolescents and adults in various settings, including residential/group home, school-based, community outpatient, and opioid treatment. I am trained in EMDR and have received training in IFS.

In addition to my clinical credentials, I provide individual and group supervision to LCMHCAs and LCASAs (Learn More) and I am also a business coach (Learn More).

In my spare time, you can find me outdoors hiking, kayaking, chasing after my toddler, or snuggled up on the couch with a good book and a cup of coffee. Additionally, I know this may change people’s opinions of me, but I am a huge fan of Will Ferrell. I love to laugh and make jokes because, frankly, life can be so damn heavy and painful that laughing is one of my favorite ways to relieve stress and relax my body.
